Wix to a fast static site, built for how patients actually choose a therapist.
A multi-clinician psychology practice in Los Angeles. Good clinicians, a slow Wix site, and patients who couldn't tell if their insurance was accepted.
Where they started.
Patients looking for therapy want to know three things fast: do you treat what I'm dealing with, do you take my insurance, and can I reach a real person. The old site answered none of those quickly.
Wix also limited redirects and page speed, which made it hard to grow search without losing what was already ranking.
The work, in plain terms.
- Rebuilt the site as a static site on Netlify, with 301 redirects from every old Wix URL
- Rewrote the contact path around insurance: in-network benefits checks, out-of-network benefits, superbills and self-pay options
- Gave each clinician a proper bio page, using their own words where they had them
- Built a service-area hub and location pages for 33 cities across the Conejo Valley, San Fernando Valley, Westside and Ventura County
- Launched Lifespan Access, a separate landing page for low-cost therapy and psychological testing outside insurance
- Kept the practice's existing mint palette and logo, with cleaner, more readable type
What happened.
In the practice's own words: after three months they started ranking for all local searches for the clinic, and the relationship is now two and a half years in.
